RAJSHAHI: At least five passengers were injured as miscreants blasted a cocktail targeting a bus here at Halidagachi in Charghat Thursday night.

The injured are undergoing treatment at different hospitals.

Sources told banglanews that the incident took place at near of Halidagachi railgate around 8:00pm.

A group of miscreants hurled the cocktail at the Jesica Paribahan bus there, sources added. The blast, however, left five passengers injured.

Charghat Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Alamgir Hossain, confirming the matter, said that police has already detained a person in this connection.

The detainee, Abdul Khalek, son of M Rahim of Mokhtarpur of the thana, is being quizzed following the blast, he added.
