DHAKA: An unidentified person was killed in a road accident in city’s Sabujbagh area on Tuesday afternoon.

The ill-fated man was aged around 40 years.

Police sources said a rashly driven passenger bus knocked him down in the area around 2:00pm, leaving him dead on the spot.

However, police could not seize the bus as the driver fled the scene immediately.

The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Sabujbagh Thana Officer-in-Charge Rafiqul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
