60kg gold seized at Shahjalal

DHAKA: The customs intelligence officials seized gold, weighting 60 kilograms, from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Monday.

Dr Mainul Khan, director general of Airport customs intelligence, confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The authorities recovered the gold around 9:00am, said the customs DG.

He added: “The drive of custom intelligence is underway at the airport on suspicion of more smuggled gold.”
