SIRAJGANJ: Three people were killed and five others injured in a road accident in Parcola area under Shahjadpur Upazila of the district Monday morning.

Two of the deceased were identified as Sahad, 45, hailed from Shimultola and Ibrahim Hossain, 46, of Harirampur village of the upazila.

Police said the accident took place around 8:00am when a Sirajganj-bound truck from Nagarbari collided head-on with a human hauler, locally known as Nasimon, leaving three people dead and others injured.

The injured were taken to the Shajadpur Upazila Health Complex. 

Dr Belayet Hossain of the health complex and Shajadpur Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Shahab Uddin Khalifa confirmed the matter to banglanews.
