DHAKA: A minor domestic help was found dead at a house in Mirpur area of the city on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Hira Moni, 12, hailed from Savar upazila outskirts of the capital, was employed at Shirin’s house in the area for last two years.

Householder Shirin claimed that Hira committed suicide by hanging herself in their bathroom.

However, getting no response from the bathroom for a long time, they recovered her hanging body after breaking the door around 3:15pm, she added.

She was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where on-duty doctor declared her dead.
