DHAKA: Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Thursday interrogated Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) President Col (retd) Oli Ahmed over allegation of attaining illegal wealth.
Deputy-director of ACC Ram Mohon Roy started interrogating him for two and half an hour from 11:00am at its head office in city’s Segunbagicha area.
Mentioning that Oli earned money in fair way, he said, “I neither attain illegal wealth, nor meet up my bread and butter from illegal earnings.”
The former communications minister was talking to reporters after he was quizzed.
He also said: “One S Ahmed Mia filed a complaint with the anti-graft body alleging that Oli Ahmed attained wealth illegally. Cases had been filed with High Court and District Court, he said
“The ACC has sent a notice to me seeking wealth statement and on September 25, it has been submitted. ACC, today, quizzed me for further information about the statement,” he said.
