DHAKA: Police recovered body of a young man from a drain in city’s Dakkhin Madartek area Thursday evening.

The victim, Shakil Kazi, 30, son of Shamu Kazi of city’s Khilgaon area, went missing from December 18.

Sabujbagh Thana sub-inspector (SI) Shawkat Ali said that the body was found from the area around 6:00pm wrapped with a black chador.

According to the SI, Shakil might be strangled to death and then thrown to a drain.

A neighbor of the victim said that the criminals made a phone call at 3:30pm on Thursday and informed the victim’s family about his death.
