DHAKA: The Bangladesh Railway (BR) authorities on Saturday evicted over 2,000 illegal shops set up beside rail-lines from city’s Khilgaon to Malibagh areas.

The drive to evict these illegal shops started in the morning and continued till 2:15pm.

Railway Land Property Division Officer Noor Nabi Kabir told banglanews that the drive would continue on a regular basis from now on.

Kamalapur Railway Thana Officer-in-Charge Abdul Mazid confirmed the matter to banglanews.
