COX’SBAZAR: Coast Guard personnel detained 22 people from the Bay of Bengal when they were bound for Malaysia illegally.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Coast Guard officer Shahidur Rahman said “acting on tip-off coast guard members conducted a raid on Naziratek point and held 22 along with a trawler.”

“They have been kept at Nuniarchhara camp,” he added.
