DAULATDIA, RAJBARI: Miscreants shot dead a private university student and injured another in a brothel beside Daulatdia Rail Station at Goalanda upazila of the district early Sunday.

The deceased was identified as M Ripon Mondol, 22, son of Mohon Mondol, was a seventh semester student of Southeast University in Dhaka while the injured was Farid Sarder, 20. They were friends.

Police said, miscreants fired gunshots on them at the brothel around 3:00am, leaving Ripon dead on the spot and Farid injured.

Daulatdia marine police In-Charge Mossarof Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.
