DHAKA: A meeting was held between Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury and commonwealth general Secretary Kamalesh Sharma at secretariat office in London’s Marlborough House on Wednesday.

The public relation department issued a press release on Thursday confirming the meeting.

In the meeting, they discussed about the role of commonwealth MPs’ for the permanent development.

Speaker Shirin also urged the member countries to implement the recommendation of Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA).

Welcoming the speaker in commonwealth Secretariat, Sharma said secretariat and CPA could work jointly for the overall development.

Bangladeshi High Commissioner to United Kingdom Mohammad Mijarul Quayes was present during the meeting.
