DHAKA: An elderly person was killed in a road accident at city’s Mirpur area on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Zahir Uddin, 70, hailed from Gazipur.

Nazma Begum, daughter of the victim told banglanews that a rashly driven minibus rammed her father in Mirpur-Diabari area when he was going to Mirpur Mazar, leaving him injured critically. 

He was rushed to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital first and then was moved to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries around 6:00pm.
