DHAKA: A young man was electrocuted in Gulshan-2 area of city on Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Arif Hossain, 20, son of Mominul Haque.

Sources said that the victim was working with a drill machine in an under construction building of road no.41 around 12:00pm. At one stage, he came in contact with a live electric wire, leaving him critically injured.

Later, he was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital Emergency department where duty doctor declared him dead.
