DHAKA: Election Commissioner Shah Nawaz on Tuesday said some 61.65 percent votes were cast in the fifth phase of the fourth upazila election on Monday.

The election commissioner claimed that the election was not as bad as it was apprehended.

Shah Nawaz made assertion while addressing the journalists at his office at afternoon after the last phase elections to 73 upazilas in 35 districts.
