The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Dhaka has expressed its deep appreciation for the support and solidarity shown by the government, people, and various institutions of Bangladesh in recent days amid Iran’s ongoing resistance against Israeli military aggression and its allies.

In a press release issued on Thursday (June 26), the Embassy thanked Bangladesh for the peaceful rallies, public statements, and strong expressions of sympathy from different sections of society including academics, civil society members, and political activists.

“This solidarity clearly reflects the deep commitment of the Bangladeshi people to human rights, justice, freedom, and national dignity,” the statement said.

The Iranian Embassy highlighted that the resistance of the Iranian people represents their national will to protect the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. It added that such acts of defiance also send a strong message to the world against domination and violations of international law.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran firmly believes that resistance to aggression is not only a legitimate right but also a moral and humanitarian duty,” the press release stated.

The Embassy further emphasized the importance of international solidarity in confronting violence, aggression, and expansionist policies, and extended heartfelt gratitude to the brotherly people of Bangladesh for their valuable support and clear stance.
