The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has asked inland river ports to hoist cautionary signal number one, warning of rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty or squally winds in several regions.
The warning for inland river ports will remain valid till 6:00 pm today, said BMD.
The BMD bulletin said 45–60 kph winds may affect areas including Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, and Sylhet.
The advisory is in effect for 24 hours from 9 am today.
