The High Court today dropped from its cause list a writ petition challenging the National Sports Council's (NSC) decisions to remove Faruque Ahmed as BCB president and appoint Aminul Islam Bulbul in his place.

The HC bench of Justice Kazi Zinat Hoque and Justice Aynun Nahar Siddiqua dropped the plea as “out of list.”

Barrister Md Ruhul Quddus Kazal and Barrister Kaiser Kamal represented the petitioner, while Attorney General Md Asaduzzaman appeared for the NSC and Barrister Nasir Uddin Ashim for BCB.

Faruque filed the writ after the NSC revoked his BCB directorship on May 29 and appointed Bulbul as his replacement on May 30.
