600-gm gold in shoe, 1 held

DHAKA: Customs intelligence officials detained a man along with 600-gram gold hiding at his shoe from a flight of Bangladesh Biman at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Friday.

The arrestee Sheikh Bahalul, hailed from Dohar upazila of Dhaka district, was the passenger of that flight returning from Kualalampur, arrived at 7am.

Customs intelligence Assistant Director Umme Nahida confirmed the matter to banglanews.
