DHAKA: Apollo Hospitals Dhaka, STS Group’s first venture in healthcare industry, stepped into its 10th year Wednesday.

Babies who were born on the month of April on various years in the last decade came on the stage and launched its theme of a Decade of Dedicated Service in a special way; along with the Senior Management and Consultants of the hospital.

The hospital will launch a year-long program to commemorate the 10th year as a “Year of Super Specialization” till April 16, 2015.  

The celebration aims to usher in a new year of clinical excellence combined with the patients’ varying needs. Ever since its inception in 2005, Apollo, the only JCI-accredited hospital in the country, has worked consistently to provide international standard healthcare services to the citizens of Bangladesh, speakers told the audience.

“Apollo is the pioneering corporate hospital in this country. In the years to come, Apollo promises to gain the patients’ confidence by taking healthcare services to such a level that the necessity of going abroad for treatment will become completely redundant,” said Mr. R Basil, Executive Director and CEO, STS Holdings Limited.

As part of the celebration, the company’s new logo was unveiled by Mr. R Basil and Mr. Abu Taleb, CEO, STS Group.  The new logo symbolizes high pace, speed, dynamism and forward progress under one umbrella of team spirit.

Dr Azizul Hasan, Senior Consultant, Internal Medicine, among others, spoke on the occasion and thanked its entire clinical and non-clinical staff to have worked relentlessly to raise its standard to this level of excellence.

Dr Prasad R. Muglikar, Director, Medical Services, concluded the session with a vote of thanks to all present in the audience.

Dr Shagufa Anwar, General Manager, Business Development, said in a press release, “We deliver what we commit and we commit to deliver only what we are capable of; that is what has led us to this level of trust and reliance in our community”.

The program was concluded in a festive atmosphere, with cutting of a cake by the Management and Consultants of the hospital.
