The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers in parts of the country over the next 24 hours starting Thursday morning.
Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions may experience heavier rainfall. A low-pressure area is likely to form over the South Bay by 26 May.
A mild heatwave is sweeping Madaripur, Pabna, Khulna, Jashore, Chuadanga, Kushtia, and Satkhira, with Wednesday's highest temperature at 37.4°C in Jashore.
The highest rainfall was 110mm in Sylhet. Day and night temperatures may rise slightly.
