The High Court has scheduled a hearing for Thursday (22 May) on Dr Zubaida Rahman’s petition challenging her three-year jail sentence in a graft case.
The HC bench of Justice Md Khasruzzaman fixed the date today for the hearing.
Zubaida, wife of BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman, filed the appeal on 14 May.
The court had accepted the petition and condoned a 587-day delay in filing.
The couple was convicted in 2023 for amassing illegal wealth and concealing asset information in a 2007 ACC case.
