MANIKGANJ: Ferry services on Paturia-Daulatia river route resumed on Friday morning after a four hours suspension due to poor visibility caused by dense fog.

Sources said that Paturia Ghat authority has suspended the ferry services from 6:00am to avoid accident.

Confirming the matter, Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC)’s Paturia Ferry Ghat Assistant Manager (commercial) Salauddin told banglanews, “The ferry services resumed 10:00am as the fog cleared.”

He also said that more than six hundred vehicles were stranded in both sides of the river for ferry disruption.
