A pedestrian and two motorcyclists were killed in a road accident in Tangail's Bhuapur on Friday (June 2).

The accident happened at Chituliapara area of  Bhuapur-Bangabandhu bridge road around 3:30 pm.

Of the three deceased two were identified as Zahid Hasan Shubo, 20, of Koera village of Gobindasi union of the upazila, and Antaj Ali, 65, of Ruhuli village of the same union.

According to locals, two motorcyclists moving towards Gobindasi from Bangabandhu Bridge lost control over the steering and crashed Antaj Ali, leaving him critically injured. At the same time, both motorcyclists got hit by a roadside tree and they were dead on the spot.

However, Injured Antaj was dead on the way to Bhuapur Upazila health complex, said locals.

Bhuapur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Faridul Islam confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

The body of a motorcycle rider was taken away by his relatives before the police arrived, he said, adding bodies of the other two were brought to police station.
