A teenager died after falling from a rooftop of a seven-story building at Uttar Badda in the city on Saturday (May 27).

The deceased was identified as Md Tasin, 17, son of Babul Mia of Tongibari in Munshiganj district.

According to Tasin's uncle Anowar Hosen, Tasin got injured when he fell from the roof of the building while spraying water on plants. Later, he was rescued and rushed to Dhaka Medical where the doctor declared him dead, said uncle.

Inspector Bachhu Mia, in-charge of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) police outpost confirmed the matter.

He used to live on the 6th floor of the building at Gupipara in Badda, he added.
