The Election Commission (EC) is monitoring the Gazipur City Corporation (GCC) elections through 4,435 CCTV cameras.

Election Commissioners Brigadier General (retd) Ahsan Habib Khan, M Alamgir, Rasheda Sultana and Anisur Rahman are closely monitoring the GCC elections from the Nirbachan Bhaban control room at city's Agargaon.

According to EC sources, a total of 4,435 CCTV cameras have been installed to monitor the GCC elections -along with all the polling centers are being monitored with 466 CCTV cameras and displaying on 18 digital display boards set up at the EC.

Earlier, the by-polls of Rangpur City Corporation(RCC), Cumilla City Corporation (CCC), Jenaidah municipality and Gaibandha-5 constituency were also monitored through the CCTV cameras.
