KUSHTIA: Two people were killed in two separate road accidents at Daulatpur upazila in the district on Thursday.

The deceased were identified as Sakib Hossain, 14, son of Mohidul Islam from Mohishkundi Mathpara village and Shakil Ahmed, 13.

Local sources said a shallow engine-run power-tiller rammed driver Sakib near Mohishkundi Mathpara village, leaving him injured critically injured. He succumbed to injuries on way to hospital.

In another incident, a rashly driven truck rammed schoolboy Shakil near Allaher Dorga area in the upazila, leaving him died on the spot.

Officer-in-Charge Daulatpur Thana confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said the bodies were sent to Kushtia Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
