12 May 2012- Speakers at a seminar on ‘Human Rights in Bangladesh’ recommended Bangladesh government to reinstate caretaker government (CG) system aiming to ensure free and fair national election. The seminar organized by ‘Bangladesh Center for Social Development, UK’ in East London Jagonari Centre on May 10, granted 11 proposals including caretaker system with a view to avoiding violation of human rights in Bangladesh caused by recent political violence. banglanews24.com 

13 May 2012- Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) will issue notices again to Omar Faruq Talukder, Yusuf Ali Mridha and Enamul Haq asking to submit their wealth statements on Monday. ACC commissioner Sahabuddin Chuppu told banglanews that decision was taken in a meeting Sunday to send notices to wives of Yusuf and Enamul too.They all have to submit wealth statements within seven working days and ACC will monitor those, he added. banglanews24.com

14 May 2012- The High Court on Monday directed the Rajdhani Unnayan Kartipakhya (Rajuk) authority to demarcate the city’s Gulshan Lake area within 20 days. An HC bench comprising of Justice AHM Shamsuddin Chowdhury and Justice Md. 15 May 2012- A Dhaka court Wednesday deferred till May 20 submission of deposition by the witnesses in August 21 grenade attack case against 52 persons including BNP Senior Vice-Chairman Tarique Rahman. Judge MD Shahed Nur Uddin of Dhaka Speedy Trial tribunal-1 fixed May 20 as one of the defender’s lawyer could not attend the hearing. 17 May 2012- A Dhaka court Monday adjourned the submission of depositions by witnesses over money laundering case against businessman Giasuddin Al Mamun. 18 May 2012- Chief Justice Mohammad Muzammel Hossain stressed on ensuring optimal use of Information and Communication Technology in judicial activities to bring dynamism and transparency.
