28 April 2012- Jamaat leader Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujaheed detained for trial on charges of wartime ‘crimes against humanity’ was Saturday granted six-hour ‘parole’ to attend his brother’s funeral. After his release on parole, he will be taken to North Azampur Eidgah ground where his brother’s funeral prayer will be held about 2:30pm. Ali Ashraf Mohammad Shoayeb, 56, brother of Mujaheed, died on Friday evening at a Faridpur hospital. banglanews24.com

29 April 2012- The International Crime Tribunal-1 fixed May 3 for taking deposition of prosecution witnesses in war crimes related case against detained BNP leader Salauddin Quader Chowdhury MP. 30 April 2012- Foreign Minister Dipu Moni on Sunday night said her country "is sure" that the Teesta water-sharing agreement with India will materialize. "We are sure the agreement will materialize. 01 May 2012- A Dhaka Court fixed May 3 to pass the order on the remand plea of police against opposition BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi and sent him to jail. 03 May 2012- World Press Freedom Day was observed in the country and elsewhere of the world on Thursday. The whole world including Bangladesh has been observing the day declared by UNESCO since 1993. This year, the motto of the day was ‘Free mass-media helps to change society’. 04 May 2012- Deputy Prime Minister (DPM) of Japan Katsuya Okada Friday said that Bangladesh has some problems in human rights context.
