India relaxes visa rules for medical treatment seekers

DHAKA: After relaxing visa rules for Bangladeshi tourists and women, India has now relaxed the process for people who are seeking medical treatment there.

Indian High Commission in Dhaka made the disclosure in a press release on Monday (April).

The press note said that the new advantage for ailing people is added to the Visa process as per the treaty made earlier during Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s India visit.

The press note also said, from now on, Bangladeshi citizens seeking medical diagnosis will be eligible for Indian visa. Applicants will have to attach prescriptions of Bangladeshi doctors and appointment letters of any recognized Hospital in India with the visa application form.

However, other terms and conditions will remain unchanged. Applications will be received directly at all Indian visa centers in Dhaka and in outside areas. For further information, visit: www.ivacbd.com
