7-day extra classes in summer vacation

DHAKA: Educational Institutions will take extra classes for seven days in a bid to recover losses due to hartal and blockade enforced by BNP-Jamaat.

The decision of reducing the summer vacation was taken in a meeting at education ministry in secretariat Sunday noon.

In the meeting, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid said the teachers will ensure extra classes for seven days during summer vacation to minimize the loss.

Authorities of those institutions which faced more disruption will have to take classes on Friday and Saturday also to recoup damage.
