24 lecturers sued in Jessore

JESSORE: Acting Principal of Kesabpur Degree College Jamal Uddin, also vice-chairman of the college, on Tuesday filed a case under Special Power Act against suspended principal of the college, 21 lecturers who were dismissed and two night guards.

Police sources said the case was filed with Kesabpur Thana on charge of entering the college’s office room cutting down iron grills and shuffling papers breaking Almirah.

Quoting college authorities, police sources further said on October 30, the directorial board of the college fired 21 lecturers and temporarily dismissed two including the principal of the college after they were found guilty of forging certificates in an investigation conducted by ministry.

The accused went berserk in this regard and vandalised the office room of the college at night, sources also said.

Officer-in-Charge of Kesabpur Thana Abdul Jalil told banglanews that they have been trying to arrest the accused.
