16 JU students suspended

SAVAR: The Jahangirnagar University (JU) authorities suspended 16 students temporarily for their alleged involvement in factional clash of Bangladesh Chhatra League.

The decision of their suspension was taken in an emergency meeting of the university’s syndicate held on late Thursday.

The suspended students are linked with BCL.

The syndicate meeting also formed an investigation committee headed-by Professor of Anthropology Department Rasheda Akter.

The committee is also asked to submit the investigation report within seven days.

Proctor of the university Tapan Kumar Saha confirmed the matter to banglanews.
