HC stay order on REHEB polls stayed

DHAKA: The Supreme Court on Wednesday stayed of HC’s stay order that prohibited the election of Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB) for three months.

Chamber judge Justice Hasan Fayez Ahmed handed down the order following appeal against HC stay order and sent the writ petition to the full bench.

The chamber judge also fixed June 1 for hearing on the petition will be held.

On Monday, an HC bench gave a stay order for three months to hold the REHAB polls after its member Dr Abu Yusuf Abdullah filed a writ petition over his exclusion from the list of the poll’s candidates.
