DHAKA: The customs officer held a cleaner with 51 gold bars at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Wednesday noon.

The detainee is identified as Joynal, 45.

Airport Customs Assistant Commissioner Jewela Khanom told banglanews, “Acting on a tip-off, we held him from Green Channel of the airport gold bars, weighing six kilogram and worth about Tk 3 crore, around 12:30pm.”

The flight of Malaysian Airlines arrived in Dhaka from Malaysia in the morning, she added.
