The largest exposition of jewellery sector in the country -- BAJUS Fair 2024-- is slated for February next year to showcase local innovations in gold and diamond products and the excellence of Bangladesh’s goldsmiths.

To support the Vision 2041 of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association (BAJUS) President Sayem Sobhan Anvir has planned the mega carnival for the third time, read a press release on Tuesday.

The BAJUS is organising the expo to showcase jewellery products of the country and the potential of the sector across the globe.

The three-day exposition will begin on 8 February, 2024  at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital.

Beginning at 9:00am, the expo will continue until 9:00pm each day. The entry fee has been fixed at Tk 100. But children up to five years old will not require a ticket.

At the fair, the jewellery companies will offer a special discount on the purchase of their products. Officials of the trade body hoped that the three-day fair would play a role in boosting the domestic jewellery industry and creating a strong position for Bangladesh in the global market.

The participating companies will showcase their products and services in pavilions, mini pavilions, and stalls.
