DHAKA UNIVERSITY (DU): Vice President-elect of Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (Ducsu) Nurul Haque Nur demanded resignation of Rokeya Hall Provost Prof Dr Zeenat Huda for “vote rigging and irregularities”.

“Vote rigging and irregularities took place in the (Ducsu) polls at Rokeya Hall. So, she has no moral right to hold the provost post,” he said.

Nur expressed solidarity with the students of Rokeya Hall staging hunger strike with the same demand Thursday (Mar 14).

On the day of voting Monday (Mar 11), quota reform leader Nur survived a physical assault at the same dormitory amid surfaced allegations of polling irregularities.

Voting at Rokeya Hall then halted and removal of Prof Dr Zeenat Huda was demanded.
