Students confine 7 teachers at DU

DHAKA: Students of Political Science discipline of Dhaka University confined the departments’ chairperson and six other teachers to their office on Wednesday on the allegation of result discrimination between the ‘Ka’ and ‘Kha’ sections.

Students began the agitation at 10:0 am demanding reevaluation of the results.

Department sources said a meeting of the department academic committee was scheduled to hold in the morning on the result issue, but the students were informed nothing in this regard.

The students said they would continue the confinement until decision was made on the result discrimination.

Seven teachers including the chairperson remained confined to the chairperson’s office at the department.
