KUSHTIA: Police rescued the body of a 10-day-old newborn baby from inside a septic tank of a house at Horinarayanpur village in Kushtia sadar upazila on Tuesday night (Oct 18).

The newborn, identified as Nodi, was one of the twin daughters of Liton Bhattacharya, from Horinarayanpur village of Horinarayanpur union under Sadar upazila.  
 
On Wednesday morning (October 18), EB Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Ratan Sheikh said that one of the twin daughters of Liton went missing on Sunday (October 15). He filed a missing person’s case on the next day. 

On Tuesday night (October 17), police raided his house and rescued the baby from a septic tank located in the back yard. Liton family had two daughters earlier and had another twins recently, the OC added.

However, police has detained none involved in it yet.
