Ansar man killed in drug dealers’ attack in Feni Injured executive magistrate Sohel Rana

FENI: An Ansar member was killed and 11 others, including an executive magistrate, was injured when drug dealers attacked a joint team of law enforcers during a drive at Fulgazi upazila in Feni Wednesday night (March 8).

The deceased Ansar man was identified as Nawsher Ali. Meanwhile, another person went missing during the incident.

Competent sources informed the matter to Banglanews though no official could confirm it.

Injured Feni executive magistrate Sohel Rana told Banglanews that he and a joint team of Ansar and police conducted a drive against drug dealers in Khanabari area near the border area in Fulgazi upazila around 9 pm.

“The drug dealers attacked the law enforcers. Police fired several rounds of bullets to defend themselves. The drug dealers chopped my hand and other body parts when I went to save the police and Ansar members,” Sohel Rana added.

Currently, Sohel Rana is being treated at Fulgazi upazila health complex, reports Banglanews correspondent.

The magistrate further said COC of Comilla zone BGB will hold a meeting with BSF of India to detain the drug dealers.
