‘Justice Audit system’ to reduce case congestion

DHAKA: Law Minister Anisul Haque said the government will introduce ‘Justice Audit’ system as part of various steps taken to ease the congestion of cases in court.

In the Justice Audit system, we will be able to know about the types and conditions of cases from home and take action accordingly. The judiciary will make progress once the system gets started, the minister added.

The minister made the remarks while addressing a delegation of Advocacy Forum Child parliament bar members of National Children's Task Force (NCTF) at the conference room of Law ministry in secretariat on Tuesday (July 10).

The Law ministry later disclosed it in a press release.

The minister said the government is working with considerable importance to dispose the cases related to child crime as early as possible. Prosecutors across the country were given directions for quick disposal of such cases. We have already started to see some outcome of quick trial of these cases including child Rajon murder case and others.
