Independence Day charity Cricket Festival in Melbourne

Australia Bangladesh association of sports and education (ABASE) is organizing Independence Day charity Cricket Festival on 28th March 2020, in Mayar Park Thornbury Melbourne to commemorate the 49th Independence Day of Bangladesh.

The day-long cricket festival will feature among others a cricket match between teams from Sydney and Melbourne comprising of young Bangladeshi Australians. The main feature of the event is the presence of living legend of Bangladesh cricket Shakil-Al Hasan, one of the greatest all-rounders ever born in world cricket.

The youngest test centurion Mohammad Ashraful will also participate in this event. Their presence in the event will encourage the young upcoming Bangladeshi national Australians in playing cricket to its truest spirit.

One of the objectives of our endeavor is to familiarize Australia born Bangladeshi origin with the glorious liberation war of Bangladesh, origin and chronological development of Bangladesh cricket. We like to categorically make clear that there will be no tickets for attending this program. We expect wholehearted cooperation of print electronic and social media for successful implementation of the project. For further information please visit ABASE official Facebook page.
