Pink Eden Gardens Is Home Away From Home

If ever Bangladesh Cricket team felt homely away from home it would be at Cricket Haven Eden Gardens. 11 Bangla speaking Bangladeshis would lock horn with fabulous Indians in a city where majority speaks Bangla. People admire and adore Bangladeshis. Avisek Dalmia son of deceased Indian Maestro Jag Mohan Dalmia rightly said it is a match between home team against home team. Bangladesh will play with Bengali flavor and fervor. The historic first day night test match featuring two friendly neighbors of South Asia will have plenty of elements in the city of joy.
Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi will witness Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina and Governor of Bengal Mamata Banarjee would ring the bell as the match starts. Among the spectators would be players of both India and Bangladesh who played the first ever test match between the two teams (the first test of Bangladesh after getting ICC Test Playing status) at Bangabandhu stadium in Dhaka. It would be a moment of nostalgia for Sheikh Hasina and Dalmiya family watching Bengal tigers appearing in the city of Jagmohan and Sourav Ganguly against strong India. Does not matter whether the pink ball swings more. Does not matter the match stretches to its limit five days or not. It is going to be a historic match which cricket admirers around the world would cherish.Bangladesh must not get over awed on the occasion.
