Bangladesh share women’s ODI trophy with Pakistan

DHAKA: Bangladesh women cricket team have shared trophy with Pakistan with 1-1 draw in the two-match ODI series at Lahore on Monday (Nov 4).  

Bangladesh have won by 1 wicket with 1 ball remaining in their second and last match

Replying to Pakistan’s moderate total of 210 runs for all in 48.4 overs at Gaddafi Stadium, Tigresses scored 211 runs losing nine wickets with only one ball to spare. 

Fargana Hoque scored 67 off 97 balls with six boundaries while Murshida Khatun become second highest scorer with 44 runs from 67 balls with six boundaries.

Pakistan started well as opener Nahida Khan guided the team to score 210 runs. She was the best batsman for Pakistan scoring 63 off 79 deliveries with eight fours.

Earlier in the day, Pakistan Women have won the toss and elected to bat first.

Bangladesh (Fargana Hoque 67, Murshida Khatun 44, Rumana Ahmed 3-35, Salma Khatun 2-36) beat Pakistan (Nahida Khan 63, Aliya Riaz 36, Bismah Maroof (c) 34 Syeda Aroob Shah 2-37, Bismah Maroof 2-24) by one wicket.

Bangladesh concluded their Pakistan tour with the ODI series draw after conceded a whitewash in the T20 series.
