New Zealand set England 242-run target

DHAKA: England restricted New Zealand to 241 for eight wickets in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 final at Lord’s on Sunday (July 14).

Chris Woakes, Liam Plunkett scalp three wickets each to restrict Kiwis to a modest total.  

HM Nicholls’ 55 off 77 and TWM Latham 47 off 56 balls helped New Zealand post 242 run target for the hosts. 

Earlier, New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson has won toss and opted to bat against England.
