DHAKA: Bangladesh have lost their first wicket in the form of Soumya Sarkar in their response to India’s mammoth first innings total of 687/6 (declared) at stumps on the second day of the lone test at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad Friday (February 10).

The visitors scored 41/1 in their first innings with experienced Tamim Iqbal and dependable Mominul Haque are in the crease with 24 and 1 runs respectively.

Umesh Yadav picked up the wicket of Soumya Sarkar.

Earlier, India scored 687-run losing six wickets in their first innings. Virat Kohli scored fourth double ton, his fourth in last four matches while Murali Vijay and Wriddhiman Saha scored 108 and 106* runs respectively.

Besides, Pujara, Rahane and Ravindra Jadeja took 83, 82 and 60 runs respectively.

Of the Bangladesh bowlers, Taijul Islam picked up three wickets while Miraz took two and Taskin took one wicket.

Earlier, India won the toss and elected to bat first in Hyderabad. They scored 356 runs losing three wickets in the first day.
