Quader again warns party wrongdoers

DHAKA: Awami League general secretary and road transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader said that no matter how powerful the party leader is, no one will be spared for offenses.

He said this while addressing as the chief guest at as view-exchange meetings on the ongoing and future activities of the Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation at the BRTC building in the capital on Monday (September 16).

Obaidul Quader said that none of the leaders against whom the Prime Minister received allegations of irregularities and corruption will be spared. However, party action will not be taken against everyone those involved in irregularities. Administrative action will also be taken against many.

The Minister said that the Prime Minister has her own agency to check irregularities and corruption of the leaders as well as received reports from various agencies regarding the matter. 

At a meeting of the Awami League Working Committee on Saturday (September 14), Sheikh Hasina, the president of the party, mentioned some leaders of the Jubo League and said that they were worse than the immediate former president and secretary of the BCL.

Asked whether the Jubo League committees like Chhatra League would be dissolved, the minister quoted Sheikh Hasina as saying.
    
Obaidul Quader said the Jubo League had formed a cell to investigate the allegations against their leaders and activists. They have chosen their own way to filter themselves.
