KHULNA: Police on Thursday (April 5) night arrested president of Khulna unit Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) on charge subversive activities and others. 

Sharful Islam Babu, the president of Khulna JCD, was picked up from Sonadanga central bus terminal in Khulna city. 

Sheikh Moniruzzaman Mithu, additional deputy commissioner of Khulna metropolitan Police (KMP), told Banglanews that tipped off, a team of police from Sonadang police station conducted a drive and arrested Babu at night. 

He was warranted in three cases, including on charge of sabotages, the police official added.
