MYMENSINGH: A local Awami League leader was stabbed to death by miscreants at Moazzempur village in Nandail upazila of the district on Friday night (February 1).

The deceased was identified as Morshed Uddin Khan, 55, who was the president of Moazzempur union AL unit.

Morshed came under attack on the way to his village residence at Moazzempur village around 10 pm. He died at the scene, Liton Miah, Sub Inspector of Nandail Police Station, told Banglanews. 

Attack was launched due to previous enmity. Police detained a suspect Nur, 35, in connection with the death, SI added.
