NARAYANGANJ:  BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir’s motorcade was halted by police in Nayabari area of Naryanganj on suspicion of possible attack in Madanpur of the district on Friday (December 21). 

Mirza Fakhrul was scheduled to attend an election rally on Sonakanda High School ground in Bandar thana of Naryanganj.

Mirza Fakhrul began his journey from party Chairperson’s Gulshan political office at 2:30 pm.

Harun, Superintend of Police (SP) of Naryanganj pulled over Fakhrul’s motorcade sensing an attack and escorted his motorcade with a large number of police to Bandar. 

Later at 4 pm, Fakhrul joined the rally for BNP nominated candidate SM Akram.
