DHAKA: BNP Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said the government created a hateful instance by closing down internet based communication tool Skype.  

“Meanwhile, all the internet based social media have been blocked in BNP chairperson’s Gulshan office,” he said.

Rizvi was briefing reporters at BNP’s Nayapaltan office around 10pm Monday (Nov 19).  

Mentioning that BNP hadn’t violated any codes of electoral discipline, he said: “The government is relentlessly using the state-machinery to bring the upcoming election in their favor”.  

“Shutting down Skype by the BTRC in a hasty way just indicates mean taste of the government,” added Rizvi.
